From June 12 to 15, 2025, Easy Trade Africa is proud to participate in the 4th China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo, held in Changsha, Hunan Province. This prestigious event brings together business leaders, policymakers, and innovators from across the African continent and China to deepen trade cooperation, explore investment opportunities, and promote sustainable development.
As a dedicated bridge between China and Africa, Easy Trade Africa is committed to showcasing our services, forging new partnerships, and representing the voice of African entrepreneurs in one of the most influential trade platforms of the year.

What is CAETE?

The China–Africa Economic and Trade Expo was announced by President Xi Jinping at the 2018 Forum on China–Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) Beijing Summit. It is China's first national-level economic and trade cooperation platform dedicated to Africa and is permanently hosted in Hunan Province, taking place biennially. The Expo is jointly organized by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China and the People’s Government of Hunan Province.
With strong support and active participation from all sides, the Expo has been successfully held twice, in 2019 and 2021. President Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory letter to the first session.
Over the past two editions, the Expo has attracted 53 African countries, more than 10 international organizations, 31 provincial-level regions in China, 29 national ministries and institutions, over 200 central enterprises and subsidiaries, and thousands of Chinese and African enterprises, business associations, and financial institutions.
In total, 216 cooperation projects or agreements were signed, amounting to USD 43.02 billion. The Expo has delivered practical and fruitful results, becoming a new platform for implementing the Forum on China–Africa Cooperation’s economic and trade initiatives and a new window for local-level China–Africa trade cooperation.
New Opportunities for Trade, Technology Transfer, and Agribusiness Growth
“China-Africa Community with a Shared Future”

African leaders meets at CAETE Changsha 2025
According to statistics, in recent years, thanks to favorable policies such as China’s 100% zero-tariff policy for 33 least developed countries, including many in Africa, China-Africa agricultural trade reached a record high of 70 billion yuan in 2024.
In the first five months of this year, China imported 15.83 billion yuan worth of agricultural products from Africa. Notably, imports of coffee, cocoa beans, and frozen strawberries increased by 145.7%, 88.6%, and 82%, respectively, accounting for 18.4%, 65.4%, and 84.8% of China’s total imports of these products.
At the same time, China’s exports of agricultural machinery and pesticides to Africa have also seen significant growth.

This move is also part of a broader geopolitical goal: to strengthen South-South solidarity and build a “China-Africa community with a shared future,” as emphasized by Chinese President Xi Jinping.
A new economic agreement is being prepared, which should include practical steps to make trade and people-to-people exchanges easier.
Over the past 20 years, China has become Africa’s top trading partner, the biggest investor in African countries, and its largest lender.
Ongoing Expansion of Cooperation in the Manufacturing Sector

This year’s expo also featured a large display of powerful and imposing construction machinery, creating a grand and vibrant atmosphere throughout the event.
Going into Africa, integrating into Africa, and taking root in Africa—statistics show that since 2022, Africa has remained China's largest export market for goods related to overseas contracted engineering projects.
Bridges of unity, roads to prosperity, development ports, happy cities, iconic buildings... Chinese enterprises such as China State Construction, China Railway Group, China Railway Construction Corporation, CRRC, and China Communications Construction continue to undertake major infrastructure projects across the continent, many of which are landmark developments.
Driven by these infrastructure efforts, heavy equipment such as SANY excavators, Zoomlion cranes, Sunward rock drilling and rotary drilling rigs, CRCHI mining tunneling machines, as well as Xianggang cables and prestressed steel strands, have entered the African market in large quantities.
In addition, products made in China and optimized for the specific needs of African markets—such as rice milling machines and ice makers—have also been well received by African users.
