As an official partner of the China International Tire Expo (CITEXPO), our team visited the exhibition in Shanghai to explore new technologies, meet equipment manufacturers, and discover products that could benefit businesses across Africa.

From automatic tire-changing machines to industrial air compressors, vehicle lifting systems, and automotive spare parts, the exhibition provided valuable insights into the future of automotive service equipment.

Discovering an Automatic Tire-Changing Machine

One of the most interesting products we encountered was the Caesar D-553B automatic tire-changing machine.

During our visit, a Chinese supplier demonstrated how the machine simplifies the process of removing and installing tires.

Unlike conventional tire-changing equipment that may require significant manual effort, this machine incorporates automated functions designed to make tire servicing easier and more efficient.

According to the supplier, its key features include:

- Compatibility with wheel sizes ranging from approximately 12 to 26 inches.

- Automatic wheel positioning and rim clamping.

- An integrated camera and digital display to assist the operator.

- User-friendly controls suitable for operators with different experience levels.

- Automated functions designed to reduce physical effort and improve workshop productivity.

During the demonstration, the supplier discussed completing the tire-removal process in a remarkably short time.

We observed the equipment in operation and explored how its automated functions could help tire shops improve efficiency.

However, actual operating times depend on the tire size, wheel condition, operator experience, and the specific steps involved. Removing a tire and completing the entire tire replacement process are not necessarily the same operation.

The demonstration highlighted the potential of modern tire-changing technology for automotive service businesses.

How Much Does the Machine Cost?

During our conversation at the exhibition, the supplier quoted an indicative price of **USD $2,200** for the tire-changing machine.

This quotation was provided during the trade show and should not be considered a guaranteed current selling price.

Additional costs may include international shipping, import duties, taxes, local transportation, and installation.

For buyers importing equipment into Africa, calculating the total landed cost is essential before placing an order.

2. Industrial Air Compressors for Automotive Workshops

Another important category we explored was industrial air compressors.

At the exhibition, we met suppliers offering different compressor configurations and motor power options, including approximately 3 HP, 4 HP, and 10 HP models.
