Held for four consecutive years, the China International Import Expo (CIIE) has become a window for observing the trend of China's opening up. It fully embodies China's consistent attitude of supporting the multilateral trading system and globalization.
On November 9th, Easy Trade Africa CEO Nicaise Loua attended the exhibition in the role of a “journalist” to explore the secrets and stories of different companies’ success in China market.
A Glimpse of Roche
As the leader in global health care sector, as early as of 2004, Roche set up a research and early development center (Roche R&D Center (China) Ltd.) in Shanghai. It is the first fully owned multinational pharmaceutical R&D center in Shanghai, now known as the Roche Innovation Center Shanghai (RICS). Roche Diagnostics also set up its Asia Manufacturing site in Suzhou, China, remarking the 1st manufacturing site in the Asia Pacific Region.
In this year CIIE, Roche showcase diagnostic products, which becomes a shining point in the medical & health care pavilion. At its 125th anniversary of establishment, Roche continues to write its own stories in China market.
“African Tea” in China
Another thing that surprised me this year at CIIE is “African Tea”. From Kenya soil to China, though travelled far, the tea didn’t lose its fragrance.
